Why Belong to a State Florists' Association?

Bottom line, it benefits you! The New Hampshire State Florists' Association is a non-profit, volunteer-run, industry association. We would like to be the voice and the backbone of the retail florists' in our state.

Everyone involved reaps the benefits and advances themselves. Shop owners, sales clerks, managers, designers, apprentices, drivers…. We can never know enough about our ever-changing industry. Members can network - learn about new varieties, "The Chain of Life", new companies, employee relations - maybe meet some new friends with common interests!

It takes a dedicated Board of Directors and a large number of volunteers to make an Association worthwhile. Here are some skills you may acquire through Board or Membership activities:

*Management and/or leadership experience
*Public speaking experience
*Experience recruiting volunteers
*Strong communication skills
*Knows and is respected by many other industry members and able
  to tap volunteers
*Good coaching/mentoring skills to help bring the next generation
  of leaders along
*Varied background & can generate program ideas of interest to
  the membership

The following are some Committees we will be seeking volunteers for. We understand how busy a florists' life can be and only ask for as much time as you are willing or able to give - every little bit counts! Please see a current Board Member for more information on how you can help.
